In 2009, the regional fiber-optic underwater cable increased ICT mobilization and interconnectedness across Kenya and much of East Africa. With the rapid growth of technology, the Kenyan people have quickly become accustomed to and dependent on the services provided to them through government and business websites, banking connectivity with central banks and other individuals, and ease of communications.
