Bosnia and Herzegovina [Original: English] [11 May 2020] Information on efforts taken at the national level in Bosnia and Herzegovina to strengthen information security and promote international cooperation in this field This report is made based on the data collected from the following institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federal Police Administration, Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska and Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republika Srpska. The relevant institutions that had not delivered the data to the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the report was sent are: the Brčko District Police and the Federal Minist ry of Transport and Communications. Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed international agreements and conventions relevant to information and cybersecurity. The most prominent ones are the Convention on Cybercrime and the Stabilisation and Association Agreem ent. The Convention was opened for signature on 23 November 2001 in Budapest, while the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina reached the decision on ratifying the document at its eighty-ninth session, held on 25 March 2006. Thereby, Bosnia and Herzegovina was obliged to adopt legislation and other necessary measures for combating cybercrime in order to harmonize them with other signatories of the Convention in terms of felony treatment, data acquisition, processing and storage.
