The CERT was set up as part of a NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) project to enhance Jordanian cyber defence capabilities. Jordan’s geographical location and security environment – the con7ict in Syria and Iraq on its borders, the refugee crisis in the region and the threat of terrorist organisations such as ISIL – make the country vulnerable to a number of threats.
