  • Supplies advanced cyber threat detection and disruption capabilities and services to organisations of national significance;
  • Responds to high-impact cyber incidents at national level;
  • Conducts cyber threat analysis shared with customers and partners;
  • Fosters a mature security culture based on standards set out in Government’s Protective Security Requirements and the NZ Information Security Manual.
  • National Cyber Security Centre works with nationally significant government and private sector organisations to supply advanced cyber threat detection and disruption capabilities developed through the CORTEX initiative.
    • CORTEX is a suite of capabilities that counters cyber threats to organisations of national significance – e.g. to operators of critical national infrastructure
