These Regulations maybe cited as the Short title. TELECOMMUNICATIONS (TRANSITIONAL TARIFFS) REGULATIONS. 2. These Regulations shall cover tariffs for all telecommunication services throughout Belize and also those originating in Belize and terminating outside Belize. Application of Regulations. 3. Interpretation. (1) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires: “Act” means the Belize Telecommunications Act, 2002; No. 16 of 2002. “basic telecommunication services” means services derived from Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN); “ceiling” means the upper limit for tariffs for telecommunication services as specified by the PUC from time to time; “domestic Long Distance Telecommunication Service” means the telecommunication services required to connect one local area of a public telecommunication network to another within the territorial limits of Belize so as to allow for transmission of voice and non-voice signals across different geographical areas; THE SUBSIDIARY LAWS OF BELIZE [ ] Printed by the Government Printer, No. 1 Power Lane, Belmopan, by the authority of the Government of Belize.
