1 105A 2013 Kenya Information and Communications (Amendment) No. 41A shall vest on the Board which shall consist of— (a) a chairperson appointed by the President in accordance with section 6B; (b) the Principal Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to broadcast, electronic, print and all other types of media; (c) the Principal Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to finance; (d) the Principal Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to internal security; and (e) seven persons appointed by the Cabinet Secretary in accordance with section 6B. 7. The principal Act is amended by inserting the following new sections immediately after sections 6 — Qualifications for appointment of chairperson and members of the Board. 6A. (1) A person shall be qualified for appointment as a chairperson or member of the Board under subsection (1) (a) and (e), if that person is— (a) a citizen of Kenya; (b) holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya, in any of the following fields(i) law; (ii) telecommunications, and information communication technology; (iii) broadcasting;
