Dato’ Dr. Amirudin added that Malaysia can contribute significantly to the collaboration with
the Philippines in many areas including the capacity building. Its innovative approach in
dealing with evolving cyber threats has produced a wealth of training materials for both
technical and non-technical personnel.
Besides capacity building, the collaboration between CyberSecurity Malaysia and
Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Centre of Philippines will also cover the
development of Digital Forensics, Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) as well as
other relevant laboratories capabilities, advisory on policy, strategy and relevant cyber
security related and encourage activities to strengthen mutual cooperation and relationship.
“Through the MoU, CyberSecurity Malaysia is able to empower its expertise and research in
the field of the cyber security. Furthermore, it has also strengthened the position and
reputation of CyberSecurity Malaysia in cyber security industry regional.” added Dato’ Dr.
