- Interministerial body responsible for preventing and preparing for a national cyber crisis, as well as for coordinating the response and recovery activities carried out by public and private sector in compliance with Prime Minister’s decisions;
- Established within the DIS and chaired by the DIS Deputy Director General for Cyber;
- Shares and coordinates initiatives aimed at improving the national cyber security capabilities, fostering collaboration between public and private actors;
- Valuates and promotes procedures for information-sharing and early warning for crisis management;
- Promotes and coordinates national cybersecurity exercises and the national participation in international ones;
- Acts as national point of contact with EU, NATO, UN and other international organizations and States;
- Receives notifications of significant cyber events and assesses the severity and the nature of such events that in turn is kept into consideration for risk identification and evaluation.
