Sector-based CERT shall be set up by the sector supervising regulatory
body and or other coordinating body within a particular sector.
ii.
Sector-based CERT shall serve as a single point of contact (POC) for
each of the specific sectors and coordinate incident response activities in
the sector
iii.
Sector-based
CERT
shall
promote
trust
and
confidence
among
stakeholders under the specific sector.
iv.
Sector-based CERT shall facilitate information sharing and technology
exchange with ngCERT.
v.
Sector-based CERT shall facilitate provision of criteria, measures,
standards, guidelines and best practices for the sector in line with national
cybersecurity measures.
vi.
Sector-based CERT shall undertake cybersecurity readiness, information
security assurance and compliance administration for the specific sector.
vii.
Sector-based CERT shall operate in cooperation with the ngCERT
towards achieving the common goal of securing the nation’s cyberspace.
viii.
There shall be strengthening of relationship between Sector-based CERT
and ngCERT
ix.
All sector-based CERT shall constitute national ecosystem, with proper
identifications with specific roles and mandates.
x.
All members of the eco-system shall be coordinated, regulated and
certified by ngCERT.

Training, Research and Development:
i. A localised approach shall be adopted to develop in-house technology and
security tools for managing threats peculiar to the nation.
