8 - Conclusion 8.1 Monitoring and Evaluation Given the pivotal role of the ICT sector in the development and growth of all sectors of the economy, and the cross- sectoral nature of many of the programs and initiatives of the National ICT Strategy for 2012-2017, MCIT has adopted an integrated approach to monitoring and evaluating the implementation of activities related to the strategy.
