This study shall include an analysis of the Danish and Norwegian systems, combining both a voluntary as well as a conscript system. Our veteran policy aims to provide personnel serving in international missions and their families support and assistance proportionate to the risks and stresses to which they are exposed. The Veterans Inquiry report, (SOU 2014: 27), submitted a number of proposals concerning the development of Swedish veteran policy. There is a strong and popular support for our veterans. It is necessary that we shoulder responsibility for our veterans. The report was presented during the first half of 2015. The government is currently studying how the commission's proposals can be implemented. 14
