As stated in the Information and Cyber Security Strategy of Sri Lanka (2019-2023), the Digital Infrastructure Protection Agency (DIPA) will establish the National Cyber Security Operations Center (NCSOC) for monitoring threats to digital government applications, critical information infrastructure, and critical systems of private firms.

Key objectives:

• To overcome the barrier of identifying the cyber security attacks to the information systems in a proactive manner;
• To overcome the service unavailability and interruptions due to cyber attacks of government services;
• Define and standardize processes and related policies and recommendations for cyber security of the Government;
• Engage with competent individuals from all stakeholder organizations and to create a pool of resources and thereby create a strong consultative arm;
• Increase the trust of government service delivery and thereby increase the usage and adoption of on-line service delivery.
