This National Cyber Security Strategy (NCSS)
covering the period to 2023 provides a summary of
the progress made against the delivery of the

The use of Cyberspace is transforming business,
making it more efficient and effective. It is opening
up new markets, allowing commerce to take place
at lower cost and enabling people to do business on
the move. It has promoted fresh thinking,
innovative business models and new sources of
growth and business opportunity for established
enterprise and emerging entrepreneurs alike. It
enables companies to provide a better, cheaper and
more convenient shopping experience to customers.
It also helps individuals to shop around, compare
prices and find the best choice.

Governments around the world are mobilising to
counter the growing cyber threat, which is
becoming more sophisticated and complex. As the
digital world grows, so does its attraction to those
with malicious intent, including state and non-state
actors.

These actors are not only working relentlessly to
compromise digital assets, they are also looking for
new and simple ways of damaging its
confidentiality and integrity and disrupting its
availability. Cyber criminals threaten people‟s trust
in the security of the digital world such that good
cyber security is essential for the success of the
digital economy in Jordan.
