NO. 18-254 1 PUBLIC LAW NO. 18-52 (1) The Secretary shall: 2 (a) Before recommending to the President any 3 general policy in relation to communications, consult 4 with the Authority, licensees and other interested 5 persons and allow a reasonable period for consultation; 6 and 7 8 9 10 11 (b) Upon the President making such a policy, notify the Authority in writing. (2) The Authority shall publish policies notified to it under subsection (1). (3) The Authority shall: 12 (a) Give effect to a Government policy notified 13 under subsection (1) to the extent possible consistent 14 with this Act; and 15 16 (b) Have regard to obligations under any convention to which the Federated States of Micronesia is a party. 17 (4) The Secretary shall have no power to direct the 18 Authority in respect of the performance of its functions 19 and powers under this Act.” 20 Section 22.
