Harnessing the potential for health care By building a secure and efficient infrastructure for our health care system, we intend to create a technological basis as quickly as possible that will give people practical access to ICT-supported applications. These applications will improve the quality and efficiency of medical care in urban and rural areas. We wish to tap into the potential of the trusted infrastructure by further developing the existing framework conditions and enabling the use of applications designed to help individuals maintain the best possible health and remain within their own familiar surroundings as they age. 11
