The Telecommunications Commission shall—

separate from, and not accountable to any
person or service provider, including any
service provider in which the Government or
Solomon Islands National Provident Fund

make determinations, orders and directions,
and follow procedures, that are impartial with
respect to all service providers.
Nothing in this Act shall prevent the
Telecommunications Commission from—
(a)
consulting with any person or organisation on
any matter related to the Telecommunications
Commission’s functions, duties and powers;
or
(b)
making a determination, order or direction
that has a differential or prejudicial effect on
one service provider where such effect is
objectively justified or is otherwise
contemplated by this Act.
