- Description
- Coordinates all intelligence activities, including national cybersecurity, and review results;
- Submits relevant information collected by the Agencies to the President of the Council of Ministers and provide strategic analysis and assessments to policy-makers;
- Ensures the exchange of information between Internal Intelligence and Security Agency (AISI) / External Intelligence and Security Agency (AISE), and law enforcement;
- Drafts the National Cyber Security Strategy;
- Carries out the activities necessary to supervise the implementation of the National Cyber Security Strategy as well as the effectiveness of the coordination procedures between the various actors, public and private, called to implement it;
- Hosts the Cyber Security Management Board (NSC), an interministerial body chaired by the DIS Deputy Director General for Cyber, responsible for the prevention, preparation, response and recovery activities related to national cyber crisis management;
- Designated as NIS Single Point of Contact by the Legislative Decree n. 65/2018 implementing the EU NIS Directive;
- Hosts the Italian Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
