The purpose of securing the use of telecommunication network based on internet protocol. This is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Number 16/PER/M.KOMINFO/10/2010. The ID-SIRTII-CC is intended to:

• Support the implementation of law enforcement process;
• Create environment and utilization of telecommunication network based on secure internet protocol from various potency of threat and disturbance; and
• Supporting coordination with relevant parties at home and abroad for prevention, detection, early warning and incident mitigation on strategic infrastructure.

Tasks include:

• To monitor and early detection of internet networks incident;
• To store the evidence of Internet transaction;
• To support the availability of Digital Forensic and Digital Evident for law enforcement process;
• To be a Contact Center based on report of security distrubance of internet infrastructure (24/7) from the public;
• To provide services that include lab simulation, training, consultancy, and socialization.

Since 2017, ID-SIRTII-CC is part of the BSSN.
