19. 1 It is envisaged that the NCPF will achieve the following benefits:

A safer and more secure cyberspace that underpins national security priorities;
The establishment of institutional structures to support a coordinated approach to
addressing Cybersecurity;

The identification and protection of national critical information infrastructure;
A secure e-environment that stimulates economic growth and competitiveness of
South Africa;

Promotion
of
a
national
research
and
development
agenda
relating
to
Cybersecurity;
f)
The effective prevention, combating and prosecution of cybercrime; and
g)
The enhanced management of Cybersecurity.
