PART 6—NATIONAL INTEREST MATTERS Authority's obligations 72.—(1) The Authority must, in performing its functions or exercising its powers, do its best to prevent telecommunications networks, telecommunications services and facilities from being used in, or in relation to, the commission of offences against the laws of Fiji. (2) The Authority must, in performing its functions or exercising its powers, give officers and authorities of the Government such help as is reasonably necessary for the following purposes— (a) (B) (c) enforcing the criminal law and laws imposing pecuniary penalties; protecting the public revenue; and. safeguarding national security. (3) The Authority is not liable to an action or other proceeding for damages for or in relation to an act done or omitted in good faith in performance of the duty imposed by subsection (1) or (2). (4) An officer, employee or agent of the Authority is not liable to an action or other proceeding for damages for or in relation to an act done or omitted in good faith in connection with an act done or omitted by the Authority as mentioned in subsection (3).
