Training and Doctrine Command
The task of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and its subordinate units is to
implement the military training policy and train Lithuanian Armed Forces personnel. TRADOC provides individual soldier and unit training, organises training for National Defence System personnel, arranges training areas and other training aids for military units, as well as provides simulation
systems and develops LAF doctrine documents. With regard to the needs of the armed national
defence, and in case of mobilisation, a brigade sized unit would be formed from TRADOC institutional units and trained reserves. The main challenges of TRADOC are the efficient support to
national and international exercises as well as individual and collective training, training of conscripts and developing the capability to form a light infantry brigade.
