Regional and International Cooperation Collaboration ‐ Incident response,
cybercrime investigation and capacity building
While we seek to improve the capacity and capability of Caribbean countries to secure their
network and cyber infrastructure no amount of security will totally prevent the occurrence of
cybercrime or incidents. As such there is also a need to plan response mechanisms so as to
minimise the effect of such incidents should they occur. Additionally, because of the varying level
of the risk/threat of cybercrime and incidents across the region and the borderless nature of such
activity there is a need for a national as well as a regional approach to address such situations.
