v) There is no proper coordination or mechanism dealing with monitoring, detection, tracking and mitigation of cyber-attacks and cyber threats at national level . There is no coordination on cyber security issues public awareness. It was recommended that the country should establish a National Computer Emergency Response to monitor and detect cyber threats, as well as educate the public. vi) The report noted that the country has had reported cases of some cybercrime activities and threats such as Money laundering, online Scams, Hacking, Malwares, Viruses and worms, Identity Theft, Frauds, SPAM etc. Most of these were addressed on ad hoc basis by various institutions vii) The study recommended that the country should develop and implement awareness campaigns to educate users, law enforcement officers and policy makers about cyber laws, the impact of cybercrime and measures of combating it. 10 | P a g e National Cybersecurity Strategy
