  • Advisory body with decision-making role in the approval of measures to improve cybersecurity;
  • Provides guidance to the Prime Minister in case of national cyber security crisis;
  • Defines the goals of intelligence policies, by setting the intelligence requirements;
  • It is heard by the Prime Minister with regard to the adoption of the National Cyber Security Strategy, monitoring its timely and correct implementation;
  • Adopts the guidelines to promote public-private cooperation and information sharing in the field of cybersecurity;
  • Promotes initiatives to ensure the Italian participation in international bilateral and multilateral cooperation fora, including the EU and NATO, for the definition and adoption of common prevention and reaction policies and strategies;
  • Elaborates regulatory and organizational intervention proposals deemed necessary for strengthening prevention and response measures to cyber threats and those for crisis management.
