Indonesia is consistent in handling the illicit drug and human trafficking, sea piracy, arms smuggling, money laundering, terrorism, international banking crime and cyber crime. 14 Today’s transnational crime is considered as an important threat to global security. In Southeast Asia, this crime is a serious threat to the stability and security, thus it becomes vulnerable to security and stability. In accordance with the implementation of the ASEAN action plan in combating transnational crime (Programme to Implement the ASEAN Plan of Action to Combat Transnational Crime), it states that there are several types of transnational crime such as illicit drugs trafficking, human trafficking, piracy, weapons smuggling, money laundering, terrorism, international banking crime and cybercrime.
