National
Cybersecurity Strategy
Preface
The effectiveness of a strategy is strictly correlated
to the possibility of progressively measuring the
results, also to be able to take appropriate corrections and updates during its implementation, whenever needed. That is why the legislator has assigned
the Prime Minister the power to adopt specific
guidelines for this purpose, after consulting the
Interministerial Committee for Cybersecurity (CIC).
Moreover, the Intelligence Community provides ACN
with an information and evaluation picture useful for
guiding the further strengthening of the measures,
which will ensure the effective implementation of
this plan, also reporting on those for which it is
responsible according to the procedures defined by
Law no. 124/2007.
An update on achieved results is provided to the
Parliament and citizens by April 30th of each year
through the Prime Minister’s Report on the tasks
carried out by ACN in the previous year.
To this end, the public entities responsible for carrying out the following implementing measures communicate the outcomes of their actions to ACN by
December 31st of each year, which then reports to
the CIC the state of implementation of the strategy
in consideration of its high surveillance duty upon its
realization.
