EU acquis pertaining to suppression of organized crime and terrorism. • On 25 November 2005, Bosnia and Herzegovina started negotiations on the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union. Also, BiH made a commitment to approximate its national legislation to the EU regulations and standards, particularly in the area of justice and internal affairs. • Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union signed the Agreement on security procedures for the exchange of classified information (Agreement signed in 2004). International bilateral agreements on police cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries: • Agreement between the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of Republic of Hungary on cooperation in matters related to combating terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime, signed in Budapest (Hungary) on 21 April 1996 (ratification process in preparation); • Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in combating international terrorism, illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and organized crime, signed in Ankara (Turkey) on 21 June 2006 (ratified by the BiH Presidency on 5 April 2002); 31
