To launch the process of producing a national State of the Environment (SoE) report every three to five years, by 2010, as one of the regular outputs of the Environmental Information System, and feeding, among others, the Africa Environmental Information Network (AEIN), the Africa Environment Outlook (AEO) initiatives of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) respectively.
