Cyber Crisis Management requires a clearly defined line of responsibility for cyber crisis events. Crisis management plans define how crisis management bodies must deal with the most important cyber threats. They must be jointly prepared for all known cyber incidents. In addition, they must be adapted to the latest threat scenarios on an ongoing basis. Special cyber exercises must be organised in order to test cyber crisis management. Crisis management plans are adopted by the Cyber Security Steering Group. This advisory body focuses on integrated approaches, strategies, crisis management, inter-governmental cooperation and Austria’s active participation in matters involving cyber security.
