LAWS OF MALAYSIA Act 680 ELECTRONIC GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES ACT 2007 An Act to provide for legal recognition of electronic messages in dealings between the Government and the public, the use of the electronic messages to fulfill legal requirements and to enable and facilitate the dealings through the use of electronic means and other matters connected therewith. [ ] ENACTED by the Parliament of Malaysia as follows: PART I PRELIMINARY Short title and commencement 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Electronic Government Activities Act (2) This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the 2007. Minister by notification in the Gazette. Application 2. Subject to section 3, this Act shall apply to Federal laws which are designated in accordance with section 6. 4
