Responsible for the development of the ICT sector, including by:

• Supporting the development of an ICT sector;
• Understanding the ICT landscape and the delivery of a national ICT strategy for Somalia;
• Developing ICT acts, policies and procedures;
• Preparing studies to develop technology sector in the Somalia;
• Planning, implementing and monitoring layout of Network Infrastructure;
• Developing information systems and databases required to perform the Ministry’s activities;
• Providing training and required technical support for the Government’s electronic network users;
• Developing and maintaining the Ministry and its agencies websites.
