Its mission is to protect citizens against the risks of Information and Communication Technology. The Sudan CERT was established by the initiative of the National Telecommunication Corporation.

Objectives:

• Work as an early warning mechanism;
• Serve as a trusted focal point;
• Collect statistical information on network incidents;
• Submit periodic reports on threats;
• Assist in civic education training for Sudanese citizens’ awareness of IT security;
• Track, test, and analyze threat report; and
• Provide forensic services to law enforcement.
