Assembly/AU/Dec.682(XXX) Page 1 DECISION ON THE REPORT OF THE COMMISSION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SOLEMN DECLARATION ON GENDER EQUALITY IN AFRICA (SDGEA) Doc. EX.CL1053(XXXII) The Assembly, 1. ADOPTS the Eleventh Member State and Twelfth Chairperson Reports on the Implementation of the Solemn Declaration on Gender Equality in Africa (SDGEA), 2. APPEALS to the three Member States that are yet to submit their initial reports to do so urgently. These are: Cape Verde, Central African Republic and Guinea Bissau; 3. ALSO APPEALS to Member States which have not yet done so, to sign and ratify the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women (Maputo Protocol) and those who have ratified, to accelerate its domestication and implementation; 4. CALLS UPON Member States to implement all the commitments made in the SDGEA; 5.
