A person who makes a statement which he knows to be false in any material particular commits an offence under this Act and, on conviction on indictment, is liable to: (a) a fine of not less than twenty five thousand dollars and not exceeding fifty thousand dollars or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding three years in the first instance; (6) a fine of not less than fifty thousand dollars and not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding five years in the second instance; and (c) Amendment of Schedule. Regulations. a fine of one hundred thousand dollars and a term of imprisonment not exceeding five years in the subsequent instances. 28. The Minister may, by Order published in the Gazette, amend the Schedule. 29. (1) The Minister may make Regulations prescribing any matter or thing in respect of which it may be expedient to make Regulations for the purpose of carrying this Act into effect.
