The definitive list of Competent Authorities will be included in the NIS Regulations. The Competent Authority in Northern Ireland will be confirmed by the Northern Ireland Government Departments. The Government is working with the Scottish Government to determine the best arrangements for Competent Authorities in respect of devolved functions in Scotland, which will be confirmed in due course.
