“universal telecommunications service provider” means the public
provider or providers of electronic communications networks, which are
designated by way of a law or under a law as providers of a universal
electronic communications service or part thereof in the Republic;

2012.
“user” means any natural or legal person that uses or requests a publicly
available electronic communications service, for private of professional
purposes, without necessarily being a subscriber to that service;
“value added service” means any service which requires the processing of
traffic data or location data beyond what is necessary for the transmission of
a communication or the billing thereof;
“voice telephony service” means a service to which the public has access
for the commercial provision and direct transport of real time speech via the
public switched network or network such that any user can use equipment
connected to a network termination point at a fixed location to communicate
with another user of the equipment connected to another termination point;
“week” means seven calendar days unless otherwise specified in the Law or
unless the context otherwise requires;
“wide-screen television service” means a television service that consists
wholly or partially of programmes produced and edited to be displayed in a
full height wide-screen format. The 16:9 format is the reference format for
wide-screen television services;

“withdrawal” means any measure aimed at preventing radio equipment in
the supply chain from being made available on the market;
