Despite the unfavourable economic situation in 2022 due to high inflation and rising energy prices, nearly half of the surveyed organizations increased their cybersecurity budget (see Graph 7). However, one of the drivers of these budget increases may be the current high inflation rate, as year-over-year budget levels are being assessed based on their nominal value with no regard for the inflation. A slight majority of respondents continue to rate their funding as insufficient (viz Graph 8). The majority of subjects spends 0-5% of its budget on cybersecurity (Graph 9), which is similar to the results in previous years. 50% 44 40% 41 30% 20% 10% 10 5 Do not know Decreased 0% Increased Remained the same Graph 7: Respondents‘ Cybersecurity Budgets Compared to 2021 (in % of Respondents) 11 R
