Due to the similarities to hosting of content the drafters decided to regulate the liability of hyperlink provider in accordance with the liability of hosting provider (Section 30). Section 33: Search Engine Provider Search engine providers offer search services to identify documents of interest by specifying certain criteria. The search engine will search for relevant documents that match the criteria entered by the user. Search engines play an import role in the successful development of the Internet. Content that is made available on a website but is not listed in the search engine’s index can only be accessed if the person wishing to access it knows the complete URL.
