  • Top governmental organisation regarding national cybersecurity governance
  • Established by the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 11 June 2012
  • Responsible for approving the plans, programmes, reports, procedures, principles, and standards prepared by the governmental bodies that are represented on the board and ensuring their implementation and coordination, to determine the measures to be taken by public institutions and organisations and natural and legal persons in relation to national cyber security
  • Other key responsibilities are:
    1. To approve policies, strategies and action plans related to cyber security and to make the necessary decisions for effective implementation of it throughout the country
    2. To bid on proposals for the identification of critical infrastructures
    3. To determine the institutions and organisations to be exempted from all or some of the provisions related to cyber security; and
    4. To perform other duties given by law
