and individuals; there are many examples of cyber incidents against multi-national
corporations and individuals. Cyber threats can be complex. Therefore, ordinary
individuals with less sophistication and means may require to be continuously
assisted and educated, to keep up with evolving threats. These threats and risks are
ever presents. Therefore, it is very important that Government and other key
stakholders, play an active role in addressing the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
To ensure effective implementation of the National Cybersecurity Strategy, an
implementation plan with clear key performance indicators has been developed to
monitor and validate that the objectives of the strategy are achieved. The
appropriate mechanisms and framework will be put in place to ensure that the key
performance indicators and desired outcomes are realised.
As the Ministry responsible for ICT, we believe that the National Cyber Security
Strategy will provide appropriate guidance in addressing the issues of Cyber Security
which require a multi-stakeholder approach.
